Brittanie Shipway is a singer from Western Sydney, New South Wales, and current contestant on The Voice.
Inspired by some of the all-time Hollywood greats - Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe and Barbra Streisand - Brittanie is hoping to bring a hint of old-school class to the competition.
Brittanie gave her first professional performance at age 6 and now performs regularly as a solo artist and in the occasional musical theatre production. Her recent appearance in ‘Les Miserables’ was hailed by Alan Jones on national radio as a "magnificent talent...superb voice!" (2012)
Raised by her beloved grandparents, “Ma” and “Pa”, Brittanie sees The Voice as an opportunity to honour the memory of her late grandmother. She will be joined at the blind auditions of The Voice 2014 by Pa, with whom she still lives and cares for.
Brittanie auditioned for The Voice with an amazing performance of "On My Own" from Les Miserables. She received praise from all four judges and eventually chose Kylie as her coach.
