ZK is the name of a duo in the 3rd Season of The Voice.
R’n’B soul team Kristal West and Zaachariah Fielding met four years ago but only recently melded their talents to form the duo ZK. Pointing to fellow indigenous artist Jessica Mauboy as a beacon for their aspirations, they are a lyrical blend of artists including Lauren Hill, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé.
As Indigenous Australian's growing up in remote communities, both artists have struggled to have their voices heard, but that’s all set to change. The pair first met in Adelaide, where Zaacharia was cutting his teeth in the music industry as a member of an indigenous soul band. As their friendship grew and Kristal found her groove, they began performing together and collaborating as songwriters.
ZK auditioned for The Voice with a performance of "As Long As You Love Me" by Justin Bieber. They received a one-chair turn, leaving the duo on Team Will
In the battle rounds, they went up against Tasha Amoroso with a performance of 'The Cave' overall winning the battle.
The pair sung 'Say Something' in the showdowns before moving onto the live finals.
In the first live show they sung 'With or Without You' where they were saved by the public. In the second show they sung 'Imagine' and were saved by the public. ZK's performance achieved the respective ARIA chart position No. 46. In the third live show they two sung 'Time After Time' and were once again saved by the public.
In the semifinals ZK sung 'Don't Stop Believing' and were sent through to the Grand Finale.
